We Found Hope

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” – Desmond Tutu

A new year is almost upon us, and so is a new website! The Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania is pleased to announce the launch of our new evangelism site, WeFoundHope.org.

We Found Hope is designed to encourage people to develop a relationship with God. Through videos of people sharing stories about their faith journeys and relationships with God and their church community, we hope to show examples of God’s grace, love, and abundance at work.

Please take a moment to look over the page and watch the videos. Share with your friends and neighbors, your Facebook list, Twitter followers, or anyone you feel could use some words of inspiration this season and in the coming year.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

To keep the page updated and add new videos regularly, we need to collect as many stories of hope as possible. If you or someone you know has a personal story about faith, community, or the hope you’ve found in God and the church, we want to hear from you! There are a few ways to share those stories:

  1. You can film yourself (or have a friend or loved one film for you). Using a cell phone or digital camera, shoot a short (1-2) minute video of your story, then submit the video file online at http://ow.ly/jOkq305wLEE  OR  load the file on a flash drive and mail to the Diocesan Center (145 W. 6th, Erie PA, 16501). Please mark somewhere on the envelope “ATTN: WE FOUND HOPE”.  OR
  2. If you’re not sure you want to do the filming yourself, please email Megin, our communications specialist, and she would be happy to assist you.

Have a safe and blessed New Year, and we look forward to hearing your stories of hope in 2017.
