Parents and campers gathered together for a special blessing of the new ropes course at Camp Nazareth where our Diocesan Camp is happening this week (due to weather the blessing was held in the chapel instead of at the ropes course). The low ropes course that was dedicated and blessed Sunday evening is a gift from the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania to Camp Nazareth in thanksgiving for the ministry of the Rev. Canon Dennis Blauser and his lifetime of faithful witness and dedication to the youth of our diocese. For nearly 40 years, Fr. Denny has served as a tireless advocate for and leader in the diocesan summer camp program serving most of those years as dean of the camp.  Together, with his wife NaBlessingncy, Fr. Denny has touched the lives of countless people, young and old alike.

From the blessing service of the low ropes course:

Almighty God, we thank you that you have put it into the hearts of your people to make offerings for your service, and have been pleased to accept their gifts. Be with us now and bless us as we set apart this ropes course to your praise and glory and in thanksgiving to you for the ministry of the Rev. Canon Dennis Blauser; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Denny
